At 0841 I found the U/F & Kainoa (RN04) together, 40 ft left of 1BS, and Aukai (RL12) at the far left end of the beach. That would be the cast, and that is where they stayed. Kainoa is 80% molted.
Despite passes through the quadrant by both Gayle and myself, no other critters were noted.
At 0615 posse member Ken Tingman checked in from the End of the World, reporting Kimo Kai (RT12) at the 10 min beach, and Ka’ena (RO40), RW02, Kaikaina (RL54) & an U/U on the back beach, KP.Marilyn also did her regular Saturday trek. At 0948 Marilyn checked in with the report of Kimo Kai still at the 10 min beach, an at the point, a molting RL42, Squinty (R330), RW02, Kaikaina(RL54)& RIP (RR70)
At 0900 Dana advised of an animal at Shark’s Cove. At 1024 she called again to advise that it was Right Spot (R016)1130 email from Karen Turner, on pup duty at Turtle Bay, brought news of Holokai on his own when she arrived at 0745. Ua Malie, as she has done the last few day, returned at 1010. A Dana call had also reported all of this. Karen also had problems with one of 3 fishermen passing by. One of the guys just didn’t wanna’ play the game. He characterized the pup site as “an occupation”, and “a spectacle”. Sad !!
A 1354 DanaTxt advised of 2 animals across from Sunset Elementary School. The “A Frame” was mentioned later so they are probably at Rocky Point. Probable RK36 & Nihoa, but awaiting further info.
