At 0845 I found Kainoa (RN04) at 1BS, and Aukai (RL12) at 3BS. That was to be the Rabbit Island cast for today. Kainoa remained all day. Aukai departed at 0948.

At 1240 Melanie called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96), once again at China Walls.

At 0553 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28), once again at Nanakuli. I think this is D#8. It was the usual lonnnnng day for the Billands, with the usual crop of problems. Thanks to Debbie, Kelly & Melina.

At 0720 a Diane Terai text reported R5AY at Elbow Beach, TB. She also advised that she had first seen Holokai at 0637. Gina Walker also reported Holokai on her 1000 shift, and advised that R5AY was no longer there as of 1240. Diane Gabriel also saw Holokai & R5AY on her shift, and noted a new wound on R5AY’s right ankle.

Marilyn & Lesley did their usual Saturday trek to the End of the World. At 0949 Missus W., reported Squinty (R330) east of BG’s Pool & RIP (RR70) at the Main Pool. She also reported young master Benny (RE74) in cruiser male mode, checking all the nooks & crannies, lookin’ for chicks, but did not haul out, in their presence. On the way out Marilyn reported Ka’ena (RO40) at Ka’ena’s Pool.

Lesley checked in at 1830 with word that she had found 3 more animals in the Mokuleia area. They were Luana (RN58), RK36 & Kimo Kai (RT12).

IT WAS A FULL DAY AT THE Nanakuli Depots. And it was just Deb, Rob and I alll day long in that horrible heat. We are so burnt, but the seal...SAFE.

But by 6:15pm Pohaku left, I followed till 7pm and lost her at Food Giants.

She was sick and tired of people, dogs, people, entering zone, kids yelling at her. And then, the full on: HORSE SHOE GAME. All the clanging made her alert.

And then a huge tire popped out of the rough surf, too dangerous to retrieve. That did it :OFF she went immediately.

It has been 8 long hot days of many things going on.

Deb, thanks from my heart for your diligence in watching out for Pohaku. I dont know what I'd do without YOU. God bless you...hope you are ok from the heat.

God bless you Pohaku, Love you, and hope to find you again to : PROTECT YOU.
