5/1/2015 DB's Dailies: Sadie&PO2, Aukai@RI, Kaiwi@CW, UU@SC, Kimo Kai (RT12)@LahiLahi, Makaha, Maka&KP2@ Honolulu Aquarium

On the road at 0615. It would be 0832, at Makai Pier, before a critter entered my life. Sadie&PO2 (RB12)(D#16) were just hauling out at the far left end of the beach, on Rabbit Island. They would remain all day.

 At 0926 what would prove to be Aukai (RL12) would haul out to the left end, several feet behind Mom&Pup. Her presence was of no consequence to Sadie, until she decided to move up with the rising tide at 1217. At that point she galumphed at Aukai, and ran her off. Aukai would haul out to mid Middle Cliff at 1225 where she remained the rest of the day.

 At 1122 Gayle called to advise that Kaiwi (RK96) was at China Walls. Canadian posse members Todd & Darlene Van Elslander confirmed that she was still there on their check at 1512.

 At 1515 Todd & Darlene reported an U/U, with at least 1 red tag, doing 7 minute dives at Spitting Cave. Photos were inconclusive.

 At 0910 Team Billand found Kimo Kai (RT12) at LahiLahi beach, Makaha.

 Dana sent shots from her trip to the Aquarium today. They are celebrating the birthdays of both Maka (31 years old), and KP2 (7 years old). Thank you Dana !!
