1/22/2015 DB's Dailies: U/F@RI, U/U@SC, RIP@WP, U'ilani@RR, Pohaku@PC, Duke&Noa@Molokai

On my 2nd look at Rabbit Island, at 9842, I found and U/F, fronting 3BS. Sadly, I was never able to confirm an ID, due to overcast, voggy conditions, and the animal just not showing much, behind the water front rocks. No doubt it’s one of the regular girls, but I can’t prove which one.

The Unknown fest continued with a call from Gayle at 0941 advising that she’d seen an U/U on a single up at Spitting Cave. Though she waited an addition half hour the animal was not seen again. Melanie did the usual check of all the Portlock spots later (as well as all the other SE quadrant spots, and she too reported nobody home. At 0942 Team Billand advised that they’d heard about an animal at White Plains.

At 1253 they confirmed that it was RIP (RR70) at the showers, WP. I’m not sure about the coverage. I heard Bev & BJ’s names. To any others...thank you very much! The Billands reported RIP’s departure at 1838.

At 1020 the Billands reported U’ilani (RN36) at the Reef Runway.

At 1400 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove. Security said she had been there is 1000. Dana advised that Pohaku departed at 1815.

A 1728 text from Diane P., on Molokai brought word that Duke (RA12) & Noa (R6FI) were among the 15 seals she saw today !!!! In

Yesterday’s News, Kimo Smith trekked to the End of the World yesterday, and provided shots of BG (R303), RW02, R330, Kaikaina(RL54) & RK36 at Ka’ena Point. Thank You..........Very Much !!

The Billands are fighting their way through Nanakuli traffic. Check the blog in the morning for their day.
